Celebrating wins during this pandemic (and every day!)

If there has ever been a time to celebrate small wins it’s now.

I don’t know about you, but I could use a reminder of the good right now.

Moreover, the Progress Principle suggests that managers have more influence than they may realize over employees' well-being, motivation, and creative output. And that celebrating wins (even small ones) supports progress and productivity.

As a leader, you set the tone for this —

You might be thinking:

  • We’re not as productive as we’ve been in the past.

  • We’re not making as many sales as we were pre-COVID.

Or you might simply not FEEL like celebrating anything.

Nurturing leaders know that your team needs more support now than maybe ever before.

Start by lowering your bar for the wins.

Look for wins by asking yourself:

  • What’s some good customer feedback you’ve received?

  • What’s one milestone that your team has hit?

  • What’s something that someone has done right lately?

Then celebrate and watch the morale, productivity, and creativity soar.
